It has been reported that all on-site works have been fully completed in accordance with the project design, and the facility has been submitted for the provisional acceptance process.

Through this project, which was implemented to mitigate flood risks, the infrastructure security of the region has been strengthened.

As part of this project, which will make a significant contribution to regional agriculture, the construction of the irrigation infrastructure will commence shortly. Following the completion of the tender process, the works will be executed in accordance with the planned schedule.

During the on-site inspection carried out by the committee, it was determined that all construction works were executed in full compliance with the approved project specifications and that no deficiencies or technical nonconformities were observed.

Accordingly, the structure has been officially accepted and put into service.

IRRIGATION CONTRACT FOR 522 HA AREA AND 27 KM PIPELINE AWARDED

The tender for the irrigation works covering a total area of 522 hectares and 27 km of pipeline within the scope of the Değirmenköy–Gölçayır Dam Project in Akşehir district of Konya province has been awarded.

Following the completion of the procurement process, implementation activities will commence in accordance with the contractual schedule.

The project aims to enhance irrigation infrastructure and improve agricultural water management efficiency in the region.

BİGA-UZUNSU STREAM FLOOD PROTECTION WORKS – PREPARED FOR PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE

The Uzunsu Stream Flood Protection Works in Biga district of Çanakkale province have been completed and made ready for provisional acceptance.

All construction activities have been finalized in accordance with the project design and technical specifications.

The structure has been submitted to the acceptance committee for inspection in line with the relevant procedures.

Biga Mayor Bülent Erdoğan announced that as a result of the negotiations they started with the DSİ Regional Directorate to solve an important problem of the district, the tender process was completed and the flood control works started in Uzunsu Stream, while Asmalı Stream was cleaned. Hacı Tututumlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hacı Tutumlu Construction, who won the tender for the flood control construction of Uzunsu Stream, visited President Erdoğan and gave information about the project. The construction works, which will start soon, will be completed with a construction cost of 10,211,300.28 TL.

Within the scope of the improvement works carried out in cooperation with Biga Municipality and DSI, the problem in two streams that negatively affect a large part of the district with the formation of bad odor due to flooding in winter and sudden rain and drying up in summer is resolved. Continuing its efforts for a cleaner and safer city, Biga Municipality completes stream improvement works to ensure the safety of life and property of citizens in rainy weather, and to prevent pollution and bad odor that may occur in summer.

Biga Mayor Bülent Erdoğan, who gave information about the subject and gave information about the works, said, “Our Uzunsu stream, coming from Kaşıkçıoba and Kalafat Village region, passes through our city, Yeniceköy District, Tabakhane region, Industrial site, and joins our Kocabaş Stream in Çınarköprü Village after Şakirbey. Likewise, we have the Asmalı Stream, which comes from the Bahçeli Village region, passes through the Siteler and Doğankent settlements, which runs parallel to our Şirintepe Neighbourhood, and joins with our Uzunsu Stream at Şakirbey Junction. These two creeks are one of the important problems of our Biga due to the odor caused by precipitation in winter, sudden and heavy rain, flooding during the snow melting period, and drying up in summer, and we have tried our best to solve them. Especially in sudden rains, we were experiencing stream floods in Yeniceköy, Sanayi Sitesi and Doğankent regions. As a result of our meeting and correspondence with DSI, the works started on our project, which was tendered. Hopefully, with a feverish work, our streams will have a clean and new appearance as soon as possible. Flood control construction will be carried out along with cleaning at a distance of approximately 2.5 kilometers in Uzunsu creek. In Asmalı creek, the teams of our Municipality continue their work. The materials accumulated in the stream and in the culvert are removed and the vegetation is cleared. As a result of the works to be improved, the flood risk and overflow problem will be eliminated in the whole city, and at the same time, a clean and aesthetic appearance will be created. We continue to solve the problems of our Biga one by one. By Allah’s leave, we are solving a big problem of our Biga and eliminating the risk with our improvement and cleaning work.”
